An Introduction
As you can tell my name is David Bethune and I would like to tell you
a bit about myself.
I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and grew up in a small village
just outside Montreal. I came to Ontario in 1985 to build houses
and have been here ever since.
In my life I have been a Sunday School Teacher, a Camp Councillor for
children with cerebral palsy, a landscaper, a construction contractor, a
real estate agent, a business man and now an elementary school teacher.
Teaching was something I had wanted to do right out of university but
financial constraints made me put it on hold. It may have come late but
better late than never and now I am excited to start the next chapter of
my life.
I attended the University of Wollongong in 2003 and graduated with a
Graduate Diploma in Education. My first year of teaching was full
of discovery and learning. I taught a Year 4 and a Year 1 class, or
maybe I should say they taught me, in outback Australia.
I am currently back in Canada looking for my next challenge.
Please take a look around and feel free to
email me with any
questions or comments. |
